Preforms are the semi-finished product from which bottles and containers for various food and non-food uses are derived, through the blowing moulding phase. IFAP was one of the first companies to produce them in Italy and has gained a solid experience in the field. IFAP produces preforms for the food market suitable for contact with food, such as for example fruit, vegetables juices and derivatives, dairy products such as milk and fermented milk in addition to reference products for the market, for detergents, personal hygiene and pharmaceutical products.

Items are available with different threads, allowing the use of different closure systems, and different weights, to meet various format needs. Preforms can be clear (transparent) or with customised colours, as well as with additives to obtain the appropriate barrier to light and/or gases for example. They can be monolayer, but also multilayer, that is produced with innovative technologies, which allow obtaining, in the case of milk, a complete barrier to light such as to safeguard in the long run the organoleptic properties of the product contained (60-90 days).
