HIGH CONTENT OF INNOVATION
There are various adoptable solutions and materials for the packaging of foodstuffs, detergents or cosmetics, for example Tetrapack, HDPE or PET. IFAP has decided to produce PET, rPET and biopolymers preforms for its unique transparency and barrier features. Compared to HDPE PET offers several advantages such as for example:
- With equal volume PET bottles are lighter than those made of HDPE.
- Lighter PET bottles help to save packaging costs.
- PET has a lower environmental impact, besides being 100% recyclable, with the ability to embed PET recycled content.
- The PET container has a structure that in general ensures the necessary protection to gases.
- Containers can be completely transparent or completely opaque to light, for example in the field of UV-Visible, thanks to the use of special additives depending on the application.
Many products, such as juices, shakes, fruit beverages, wine, milk and dairy products, packaged in PET need special protection, with regard to light, in the presence of oxygen or to prevent loss of CO2. IFAP offers several solutions for these applications.
